The Security Deposit is held on behalf of the owner in the event of any possible breakages and/or damage to the property. The deposit is normally £100 but varies from property to property and the amount is clarified during the booking process.

All the information you need regarding how to access your accommodation is contained in your Booking Confirmation. If you haven’t received it please check your junk/spam folder in case your email client has put it there. If you need us to send you another copy, please get in touch and we will arrange this for you.

We have permitted arrival and departure times in place so that each property can be prepared to a high standard for the arrival of a new guest. During quieter times of the year it may be possible for flexibility within these stated times, however, each request is at the owner’s discretion and must be requested and confirmed in advance with the owner directly.

If you wish to drop-off your luggage at your accommodation before your permitted arrival time it may be possible depending on the changeover schedule the owner has in place. Pets are accepted at some of our properties and this is indicated on each respective property page. If you decide to bring your pet with you please make sure that you adhere to our Booking Terms and Conditions. If a pet is brought into a property without prior consent or into a property that doesn’t permit pets then your entire Security Deposit may be withheld.

Security Deposits are refunded within 1 week of any departure and you will receive an email notification to inform you once we have processed your refund. Please allow a few working days for the refund to appear in your account.

If you are delayed and you think that your arrival time will be different to the time you stated when you made your booking, please inform the owner as soon as you can, otherwise your booking may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation charges will apply.

We can offer discounts for longer bookings during the quieter times of the year. Each request is at the owner’s discretion and must be requested and confirmed in advance with Places to stay in Whitstable. Unfortunately we cannot offer any discounts for longer bookings during higher letting periods.

A booking cancellation is a termination of the contract between yourself and the property owner. Any decision to cancel a booking is treated by us as your final decision; it cannot be reversed and will be subject to cancellation charges as outlined in our Booking Terms and Conditions.

Unfortunately we don’t offer discounts for bookings made well in advance, but sometimes we can offer discounts for last minute bookings. Each request is at the owner’s discretion and must be requested and confirmed in advance with Places to stay in Whitstable.

A basic supply of firewood is provided by the respective owners at all of our properties that have a wood-burning stove . Once this initial supply has been used you can purchase extra supplies from the hardware store in Harbour Street and other locations in Whitstable. If you have any questions relating to this matter, please contact the owner directly.

If you’ve already made a booking you may be able to change your dates, however each request is at the owner’s discretion and must be requested and confirmed in advance with Places to stay in Whitstable. If the owner and Places to stay in Whitstable agree for you to change your dates, there is a re-arrangement fee for this service. If we don’t agree for you to change your dates, your booking will have to be treated as a cancellation and cancellation charges will apply.
