Parking in Whitstable can be difficult during busy periods and there is only one long term, pay and display car park in the town; ‘The Gorrell Tank’ which is located opposite Whitstable Harbour.

The majority of roads in the town have no parking restrictions. The only restricted roads are Harbour Street, Beach Alley, Island Wall, Waterloo Road, Marine Terrace and Middle Wall. These roads are 1 hour parking or permit holder parking. Additionally, there are permit holder restrictions in place in Railway Avenue.

A good location for parking if you can’t find it on the street is at the station, which charges £2.00 per day or £31 for a 10 day scratch card. The Station is within 10 minutes walk of the town centre, harbour and beach.
